The Wisconsin Honey Producers Association is seeking candidates for the 2027 Wisconsin Honey Queen position. The Wisconsin Honey Queen spends the year traveling the state, educating the public and promoting the beekeeping and honey industry in Wisconsin.
Apply to be the 2027 Wisconsin Honey Queen! The Honey Queen serves as the official ambassador for Wisconsin’s beekeeping and honey industry, promoting the importance of honeybees, beekeeping, and honey products through educational presentations, public appearances, media interviews, and social media outreach. Throughout her year of service, the Wisconsin Honey Queen visits schools, civic organizations, fairs, festivals, farmers markets, and industry events across the state. No prior beekeeping experience is required, as comprehensive training is provided.
Eligible applicants must be Wisconsin residents or attend school in Wisconsin, be at least 18 years old and no older than 24 as of January 1, 2027, possess a valid driver’s license, and be available for travel, including some evenings and weekends. Upon successfully completing her term, the Honey Queen will receive a scholarship.
Application materials, including an essay, autobiography, photo, application form, and favorite honey recipes, must be submitted by November 1, 2026.
